How would you feel about building an installation in Rotterdam’s smallest gallery? This question by Annegret Kellner brought me to De Aanschouw on 29 September with a load of material and a plan. The installation depicts the miniature toy cruise ship Mauretania that I found on the island of Jan Mayen. Through a lobster cage escape hatch you can peak at this ship ‘floating’ in front of a map of Jan Mayen island.
